Urgent - Show Cancelled: Dear All After much deliberation and a visit to Gosforth Park to try and relocate this morning, we were looking to hire the field to ensure no one was disappointed, our entries have been massive. The organisation of this show started last September (07) and you can imagine that cancellation was really the last option. However, we have made the decision to cancel the show for horse and rider safety. Unfortunately our field is soaking and Gosforth Park field and car parking in places is under a foot of water (they have cancelled racing this afternoon). The forecast this weekend is poor and so as not to leave it to the last minute, some of our judges are at Ponies UK and travelling up tomorrow and I dont want them to have a wasted journey, our trade stands also needed to know by today. From a health and safety point of view we would be devastated if someone or their horse were injured on unsuitable ground and as always the horse must come first, part of the organisation is to ensure competitors have a safe and enjoyable day. All entry money will be refunded (cheques will be destroyed). We intend to hold this show the same weekend (before the bank holiday) next year (23/08/09)and our trade stands have already been booked when we spoke to them this morning. The results for our Autumn Hunter Trial are now on the Results page (sorry for the delay) We currently have limited vacancies for full, part or DIY livery. Facilities include 20 x 40 floodlit professionally built arena, BE approved XC course, excellent off road hacking, beach location, regular onsite competitions & tuition available. Very competitive prices and bespoke packages to suit all. Complementary pickup from old yard to us (local trips only or special deals on longer journeys). Thanks to all our competitors who came and supported our events this year and to our wonderful helpers, caterers, first aid and jump judges who come out to help rain, hail or shine to ensure a safe and enjoyable day is had by all. See you next year or if you cant wait that long the Cross Country Course is available for hire all year round (weather permitting obviously)

The weather has won again - sorry but we have had to cancel due to the ground conditions. The sunken road is overflowing and there is about a foot of stagnant water at the start/finish which is not draining away - apologies for any disappointment and hope to see you at the 5th October hunter Trial hopefully the weather will improve

New for 2009 is the introduction of a training day at the start of the season with experienced instructors to give you a helping hand and iron out any problems you may have. Application forms to follow as soon as I have booked the instructors and worked out a price
We are running Senior and Junior points trophies at the Cross Country events during the year with up to £150 worth of goodies up for grabs including a £50 cash training bursary for the successful junior and senior.

Equine Answers are donating tubs of their 365 complete suppliment and Jollyes of Blyth are going to sponsor and donate prizes to our junior and senior points Trophy winners - more details soon.
This years charities intend to be - Cash for Kids, Brook Hospital and Great North Air Ambulance on the relevant schedules we will be keeping you up to date with the money raised during the year.
Becky's charity show proceeds are to be donated to her chosen charity details to follow in the New Year We have a packed schedule for the summer show: Stalls and attractions are again going to be a big feature next year at the event so any potential stall holders & exhibitors which are of a rural or horsey theme should get in touch asap. Pitches are free but charity donations, prizes in kind or goody bags are welcome. I hope you like the introduction of new classes ie Foreign, Arab, Sports Horse & Youngster classes. We have a new working hunter course to try out and I have most of our judges booked and have started praying already for a nice day We are again having qualifiers for CHAPS, Veteran Horse Society, International Showing & Amateur Showing Societies Keep checking the website for details and updates
